Lucknow, July 3, 2025 – The CISCE UP Zonal Badminton Championship 2025 was successfully hosted by Lucknow Public College, Rajajipuram, Lucknow on the 2nd and 3rd of July. The event saw enthusiastic participation from several reputed CISCE-affiliated schools across Uttar Pradesh. CMS Kanpur Road emerged as a strong contender with excellent performances in multiple categories.
In the Under-14 Boys team category, Sankalp Chaudhary and Sarvesh Kumayan delivered an outstanding performance and secured the gold medal by defeating St. Francis School with a straight-set 2-0 victory in the finals. Their coordination, technique, and confidence on the court were commendable.
In the Under-14 Girls team category, the team comprising Sanshita Chaudhary, Shanvi Singh, Ishanvi Yadav, and Vanya Chauhan also clinched the gold medal, outplaying Loreto Convent with a clean 2-0 win. Their teamwork and determination were evident in every match they played.
The championship served as a great platform to showcase emerging badminton talent from across the state. The spirit of sportsmanship and the quality of play made the event a grand success.
