Insurance Regulatory and
Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has granted Health Insurance License (Certificate
of Registration) to M/s Reliance on 3rd October 2018. The group is lead
by Mr. Anil Ambani. The new company name
is M/s Reliance Health Insurance Limited. Reliance already engaged in Life
Insurance and General Insurance business in India under IRDAI regulations. M/s
Reliance Health Insurance Limited is promoted by Reliance Capital Limited 100%
wholly owned. Including this company the total number of Standalone Health
Insurers registered with the IRDAI has gone up to Seven.
