            Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath Ji has said that the work is being done by the present Central and State Government to develop the Bundelkhand region and take it to new heights. Lalitpur is a prosperous district and people here are decent who believe in hard work. 

            Various types of developmental projects are being launched on the ground in Lalitpur. Work has been done to make the lives of Lalitpur residents comfortable through the widening of roadways, drinking water, and other facilities including healthcare, the chief minister pointed out.

            The Chief Minister expressed these views on the inauguration of the Bandai Dam Project in the Lalitpur district on Tuesday. On this occasion, he inaugurated 41 schemes including the Bandai dam project - worth Rs. 576.86 crore and laid the foundation stone of sewage and septage management FSTP-21 KLD to be constructed with an amount of Rs. 5.21 crore. The approved cost of the Bandai dam project inaugurated by the Chief Minister is Rs. 303.54 crores. 

            In this way, a total of 42 development projects worth Rs 582.07 crore were inaugurated and kick-started by the Chief Minister in the district Lalitpur. The Chief Minister said that the present Central and State Government are working for the development of the district Lalitpur. He said that the inauguration and foundation stone of various projects including the Bandai dam project has been completed today. These, he mentioned, will lead to the all-around development of the region, while the people of the area will also be happy.

            The Chief Minister said that the state government has laid a better network of roads in the Lalitpur district. Now the work is also being done to build an airport here. With the commencement of air service, Delhi can be reached in 1 hour, Mumbai and Bangalore in 2 hours. A medical college is also being built in Lalitpur district, he informed.

            The Chief Minister also said that the Bundelkhand region has an extensive land area, good soil, and adequate natural resources are also available. After independence, there was a migration of people from here. This district has been suffering from drought. After the inauguration of the Bandai dam project, 5,000 farmers of the district will be able to get irrigation facilities, he stated. 

            Also, the residents here will also get pure drinking water. We are making arrangements to provide pure drinking water to every house in Bundelkhand under the 'Har Ghar Jal Yojana'. Through the Bandai Dam Project, pure drinking water will also reach every household, after drinking it people will be healthy and will be safe from infectious diseases, the Chief Minister said.

            The Chief Minister said that there has been a big change in the country after Shri Narendra Modi Ji became the Prime Minister. Before 2014, poor people could not get facilities like ration, electricity, water, health and housing. The present government will provide housing to all poor families by the year 2022. The work of providing electric connections and cooking gas connections to the poor families is being done at a rapid pace.

            In addition, he underlined, under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, every poor family is being given a health insurance cover of Rs. 05 lakhs. He said that all these works could have been done earlier also. The Chief Minister said that the State Government has decided that a Gaushala should be available in every Nyaya Panchayat. 

            The farmer who will keep the destitute cow dynasty is being given Rs. 900 per month, he said, and added that arrangements have been made to provide cows giving milk to malnourished families.

            The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister in the Corona period, ration has been made available to every poor in the country. Every month, Rs. 500 was sent to Jan Dhan account holders in their account. Rs. 1000 were sent to old age, differently-abled, and destitute women pension holders in their account through DBT. Similarly, sustenance allowance was provided to the street vendors, labourers etc.

            Chief Minister said that Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya is being constructed in Lalitpur. Modern education will be imparted to the children of registered labourers through this school. Providing education to orphans as well as children of registered labourers at Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya will also be done. Calling upon mothers, he urged them too to work through women's self-help groups. 

            The State Government has decided that ration quota shops will be now run by women self-help groups. They will be given this responsibility by the state government. He said that the present government has also decided to distribute child nutrition through women's self-help groups. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed to making the benefits of the development schemes available to every citizen. 

            The officers have been directed that every poor, handicapped, elderly and destitute woman falling in the eligibility category should get the benefit of pension. Every poor and destitute woman should have a ration card available. The intention of the state government is that the person standing on the last rung must get the benefit of the schemes of the government.

            Jal Shakti Minister Dr. Mahendra Singh in his address said that the Bandai Dam Project has been constructed on the Bandai River, a tributary of the Dhasan River, in village Dhaurisagar of Tehsil Madavara. The work of the project was started from the year 2013-14. Under this project, an irrigation facility is proposed for 1,975 hectares in Rabi and 1,050 hectares in Kharif in a total area of 3,025 hectares, so that farmers of Dhauri Sagar, Pisnari, Tauri, Deora, Hasra, Semarkheda, Bamhourikhurd, Maanpura, Marraulimaf, Girar and Bhikampur total 11 villages will be benefited. Also, drinking water facilities will be available to the villagers, he pointed out.

            Addressing the programme, Minister of State for Labour & Employment Shri Manohar Lal Mannu Kori said that the present government is committed to the development of the person sitting on the last rungs of the society. Minister of State for Housing and Urban Planning, Mr. Girish Chandra Yadav said that the Bandai Dam Project is a boon for the people here. Member of Legislative Council Shri Swatantra Dev Singh also expressed his views on the occasion.
