UP Police recruitment exam was conducted successfully in two shifts at 1174 centers in 67 districts of the state

The largest police recruitment exam in Uttar Pradesh's history commenced on Friday, marking a significant event in the state. On the first day, the exam was conducted smoothly across 1,174 centres in 67 districts, with approximately 4.5 lakh candidates appearing in two shifts. The DGP personally visited ground zero to assess the situation.

 

Candidates underwent multiple rounds of checks under stringent security measures. The exam centers were heavily guarded, with STF, UP Police, and PAC personnel stationed at every corner. CCTV and drone cameras maintained continuous surveillance.

 

Thanks to the tight security arrangements inside and outside the centres, the exam proceeded without any incidents. As envisioned by CM Yogi, the administration successfully ensured the exam was conducted with complete fairness and transparency.

 

In Lucknow, 56,674 candidates appeared for the police recruitment exam across two shifts at 81 examination centers. To ensure a fair and cheat-free examination, Sector Magistrates and Zonal Magistrates were stationed at all centres, with mobile jammers also in place.

 

DGP Prashant Kumar conducted surprise inspections at Government Girls Inter College, Gomti Nagar, and Government Polytechnic, Lucknow, providing crucial guidelines to maintain transparency and fairness during the exam.

 

District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar also visited several centres to review the arrangements. After inspecting Lucknow University, he checked the setup at Ramadhin Singh Inter College, Babuganj, and later visited National PG College. He emphasized the importance of conducting the exam peacefully and transparently, instructing all centre administrators to ensure a cheat-free environment.

 

To maintain security, 1,000 personnel were deployed, including 8 ACPs, 62 inspectors, 184 sub-inspectors, 173 head constables, 519 constables, and 81 sector magistrates. Security forces were outside examination centres from early morning to ensure a smooth and peaceful process.

 

DGP Prashant Kumar said, "Over 48 lakh candidates will appear for the exam across approximately ten shifts statewide. The exam will be held in 67 districts over five days, with two shifts each day. Police officers have been deployed at all locations to ensure smooth conduct, and arrangements have been made to prevent any inconvenience."

 

He added, "FIRs have been lodged wherever irregularities have been reported, and strict action will be taken against those involved. So far, there has been no indication of a question paper leak. Any individuals found spreading false information will face severe consequences."

The exam was good. Although the reasoning section was challenging, the overall paper was fair. The administration had implemented stringent security measures, with a significant police presence inside and outside the center, who were also helpful. Lockers were also provided at the center to store our belongings securely.

In Prayagraj, 45,744 candidates appeared for the exam across two shifts at 63 examination centers. Following the directives of the Yogi government, 624 roadway buses were operated in the division, providing free transportation to candidates travelling to their exam centres. Over 57,000 candidates across the division benefited from this service.

 

Additionally, free travel was offered on city buses. Thanks to the efforts of the Yogi government, the railways also added two extra coaches to six trains departing from Sangam railway station.

 

Nodal Officer DCP Ashutosh Dwivedi said, "A comprehensive security plan was in place, with more than 600 police personnel and 950 CCTV cameras deployed to ensure the safety of the 63 examination centers. IP cameras were also utilized to monitor any suspicious activities. Due to the vigilance of the police and administration, no untoward incidents were reported, ensuring the safety and security of all involved."

The center maintained strict measures to ensure a cheat-free exam, but the well-organized arrangements made the process smooth. The integrity and security of the exam were thoroughly safeguarded.

Examination room entry in Agra permitted after three rounds of security checks

 

In Agra, approximately 75% of the 24,000 candidates attended the exam under tight security across two shifts at 27 centres. Each centre was equipped with CCTV, monitored from a control room at the police line.

 

A total of 540 police officers ensured the exam was conducted peacefully. An exam in-charge, static magistrate, centre administrator, and room inspector were stationed at every centre, while ACPs and police station in-charges remained on high alert in each area.

 

Plainclothes officers were also positioned around the exam centres. One police officer was assigned for every 80 candidates to conduct thorough checks, and candidates were allowed into the exam room only after three rounds of screening. Additionally, the Transport Corporation provided 223 extra buses.

Security at the exam centers was stringent, with entry permitted only after thorough checks and verification, but the process was smooth. The paper was straightforward, and this exam was considered the best so far, with no issues reported. In contrast to the previous exam, which focused exclusively on questions related to Uttar Pradesh, this time's paper was more balanced.

Free travel provided in city buses in Gorakhpur, Railways started a special train

 

Around 70% of the 24,500 candidates in Gorakhpur appeared for the exam across both shifts at 55 centres. Extensive security and convenience measures were implemented to ensure a smooth process. All centers conducted a three-tier security check for candidates to maintain fairness. No disturbances were reported from any examination centre.

 

On the District Magistrate's directive, schools up to class 12 had a holiday to prevent traffic congestion affecting candidates. Upon reaching the district, the government facilitated free travel for candidates on UP Roadways buses and provided free rides on electric buses to the exam centres. Additionally, the Northeast Railway supported the effort by running special trains.

The Uttar Pradesh government made excellent arrangements for the UP Police Recruitment Exam. Candidates were provided with free bus travel, and the examination centers were well-equipped for convenience. The officers and staff on duty were courteous, and no issues or inconveniences were reported.

27 police officers appointed as center in-charges to ensure safe examination in Jhansi

 

In Jhansi, 11,424 candidates took the exam across two shifts at 27 centres. 1,400 teachers served as room inspectors, while 27 police officers were appointed as center in-charges. Static and sector magistrates were stationed at each center, and six mobile teams, led by the SDM, were actively patrolling. Throughout the Jhansi division, 230 buses operated continuously. Help desks were set up at bus stands and railway stations to assist candidates. Additionally, District Magistrate Avinash Kumar, SSP Rajesh S, and other administrative officials conducted regular tours to monitor and ensure the smooth execution of the arrangements.

The Yogi government's provision of free travel on roadway buses for police recruitment candidates was a commendable initiative. Despite stringent security measures at the examination centers, candidates faced no issues. All facilities were well-managed, and the exam paper was also well-received. Now, we eagerly await the results.

In Ayodhya, 3,367 candidates appeared for the examination across two shifts at 12 centres. The District Magistrate oversaw all examination arrangements, with sector and static magistrates stationed at each centre. Following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's directives, security was stringent, and candidates were allowed entry only after thorough checks. Each centre had a centre administrator and an assistant centre administrator. All centres were located within a 10-kilometre radius and were equipped with robust security measures.

 

A total of 485 room inspectors were deployed, with 15% of the staff kept in reserve. To facilitate the exam, certain routes were diverted, and photocopy shops near the centres were closed. Monitoring was conducted via CCTV from a control room at the headquarters, and senior district officials conducted regular and ongoing inspections of the centres, ensuring the process's integrity. To assist candidates, 124 buses were provided for transportation.

The paper was quite good. The administration had made good arrangements for the candidates. Notably, this time, a large number of women candidates have also participated in the examination, marking a significant step towards gender equality and showcasing Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's resolve to provide maximum employment to women.

Companies of PAC and ITBP deployed in Varanasi

 

In Varanasi, 42,307 candidates took the exam across two shifts at 80 centres. The Yogi government ensured both the candidates' convenience and the exam's integrity. Accommodations were arranged for candidates arriving a day in advance, including facilities such as Dharamshala, panchayat Bhawan, and colleges.

 

For the security and smooth execution of the exam, a comprehensive plan was put in place. The deployment included 7 Assistant Police Commissioners, 41 Inspectors, 287 Sub-Inspectors, 783 Constables, 783 Head Constables, and 187 Women Constables. Additionally, 3 PAC companies, 1 ITBP company, and traffic police were on duty. Nine teams of police and magistrates were also established as additional flying squads, ensuring the safety and security of the exam.

 

Police maintained high alert at all centers in Bareilly

 

To ensure the UP Police Recruitment Examination in Bareilly was conducted peacefully, fairly, and transparently, police maintained a high level of alertness across all 29 centres. Candidate entry began at 7:30 am on the first day, with thorough searches conducted before granting access. The gates were closed at 9:30 am. Comprehensive security measures were implemented for the constable recruitment exam.

 

The 29 centers were divided into five zones, each overseen by a zonal magistrate, whose role was crucial in ensuring the security and fairness of the examination. Additionally, each center had a sector and a static magistrate assigned. Sensitive centers were monitored by drone cameras, and nearby cyber cafes and photocopy shops were closed during the exam.

 

Three-zone in-charges, six sector in-charges, and nine assistant sector in-charges were appointed to oversee the exam. At the centres, 20 inspectors, 92 sub-inspectors, and additional police personnel were deployed. CCTV control rooms were established at both the centres and the district headquarters. A total of 58 armed policemen, alongside 29 sector magistrates, were stationed at the centres to ensure security.

 

Candidate's Version

 

I studied for 5 to 6 hours, and the paper went well. The Yogi government is conducting examinations with transparency and integrity. There is no cheating in the examination.
