Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 114 development projects costing Rs 279.30 crore at Chowk Bazar in Maharajganj district. He also inaugurated the office of Nagar Panchayat Chowk.
Addressing the public meeting organized on this occasion, he said that 4 new Nagar Panchayats have been formed in the district of Maharajganj, which will now provide better civic amenities to the population under them. The achievements of the last 4 years of the state government are well known, he said. Due to the systematic working style, the poor people of the state are getting the benefit of the schemes, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government is going to set up medical colleges in 16 districts, including the Maharajganj district. The State Government has ensured the development of every region without discrimination. The Government is of view that every poor should have a permanent house and for this, benefits are being given to the eligible people under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana and Mukhyamantri Aawas Yojana.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is constantly working for the well-being of the farmers. After the formation of the government in the year 2017, firstly the crop loans of small and marginal farmers were waived off, in which loan of about 01 lakh farmers of Maharajganj district was waived, he informed. Referring to contract farming, he said that the objective of the scheme is the development and prosperity of the farmers.
After the conclusion of the public meeting, the Chief Minister paid obeisance at the Pipra Sonadi Devi temple. Public representatives and senior officers of the district administration were also present on the occasion.
