Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji on Saturday unveiled the statue of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap in Bahraich district. He inaugurated 55 projects worth Rs 69.70 crore and laid the foundation stone of 61 projects worth Rs 264.12 crore in a programme organized in the campus of late Thakur Hukum Singh Kisan Postgraduate College.
The Chief Minister also distributed sanction letters, housing keys, toolkits, and cheques, etc. to the beneficiaries of various schemes. On this occasion, he also unveiled the statue of Late King Rudendra Vikram Singh and also laid the foundation stone of Late Sukhadraj Singh Hostel.
Extending Holi greetings to the residents, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of luck for him that in the span of one and a half months, he has got the privilege of coming to the land of Veer Shiromani Maharaja Suheldev Ji twice. He said that on February 16, 2021, the foundation stone of the Maharaja Suheldev Memorial and Chittaura Lake Development Plan was laid, and Maharaja Suheldev Autonomous State Medical College was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Earlier, Bahraich District Hospital was renamed by the State Government after the name of Maharishi Balark Hospital and Medical College in the name of Maharaja Suheldev. He said that it is a matter of pride to have the opportunity to unveil the statue of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap in Bahraich, the land of valour and might. He congratulated the people for organizing such an event.
The Chief Minister said that with the establishment of medical college in the Bahraich district, people of the district, as well as other nearby districts, will get better medical facilities. He said that the districts of Gonda, Bahraich, Balrampur and Shravasti are included in the Devipatan division. Action is also being taken to set up medical colleges in Gonda and Balrampur districts, he informed.
With the establishment of medical colleges in the districts of Terai, while on the one hand, local people will get better health facilities, communicable diseases will also be effectively controlled he underlined. He said that there has been rapid development in the state in the last 04 years. Basic facilities have been developed and the benefits of the schemes are being extended directly to the public.
The Chief Minister said that better health services are being provided to the people of the state through Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Melas and other health schemes. On the recommendation of the District Magistrates, health services worth Rs 900 crore have been provided to the destitute and helpless people in the state, he informed.
Mission Shakti Abhiyan is being conducted for the safety, respect, and self-reliance of women and girls in the state, which has brought awareness among women and girls, he said and added that the formation of women self-help groups is a better option for women empowerment.
The Chief Minister said that in Bahraich, which is included in the 08 aspirational districts of the state, there has been significant progress in all the indices with the better coordination of people's representatives and officials. He said that with the rapid development of the district, it is expected and soon Bahraich will fall under the category of other general districts of the state.
In the programme, the Chief Minister distributed sanction letters to the beneficiaries of various schemes. He gave golden cards to Mrs. Rita Devi and Mr. Shakti under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Ayushmaan Bharat Yojana, keys of houses to Mrs. Isravati and Mr. Nanhu under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and to Mrs. Sushila Devi under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, Ms. Sanju Devi of Bhimrao Ambedkar Self-Help Group was given the certificate of the operation of community toilets and the sanction letter of CCL to Ms. Kamini Devi of Maa Saraswati Self-Help Group.
The Chief Minister distributed sanction letters to Km. Sarita and Mr. Amarnath under the O.D.O.P / Tool Kits training programme. Addressing the programme, Cooperative Minister of the state Mr. Mukut Bihari Verma threw light on the achievements of the state government during last 4 years. During the programme, the Chief Minister was gifted a statue of Maharana Pratap and under the ODOP scheme, portrait of Maharana Pratap made from wheat stalks was presented.
On this occasion, Jal Shakti Minister Dr. Mahendra Singh, Backward Classes Welfare and Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Minister Mr. Anil Rajbhar, along with people's representatives and senior officers of the district administration were present.
