UP Police to be the top force in the country: plan afoot under Yogi 2.0

 

Preparation in full swing at all police units, major changes to be made at the district, range and zone level

 

To improve law and order and policing, micro, short, and long term details sought from all units of police

In order to achieve even better policing and maintain law and order in the state, the Home Department and the Police Department is all set to undergo major changes on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this regard, preparations are going on in all the units of the police and changes will be visible at the district, range, and zone level as well.

 

CM Yogi has always made it a point to improve policing in the state to give people, women, in particular, a sense of security. The result of which was witnessed in the assembly elections, when the people appreciated the law and order of the state and extended their support.

 

In his second term, CM Yogi has tasked the Home Department to further improve the law, order, and policing. A meeting of other departmental officers including Additional Chief Secretary Home and DGP was held in the Home Department where the DGP gave a presentation of about five hundred pages.

 

In order to make UP Police a top performer in the country, all the police units have been asked to provide micro-details from zero to two years, short-term details from two to five years, and long-term for more than five years. Details have also been sought from human resources, maximum use of technology, and the expenditure on it.

 

 

DGP Headquarters will soon submit a report regarding the promises made in ‘sankalp patra’

 

The DGP headquarters is making all the preparations to fulfill the promises related to law and order and policing made in the Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra presented by BJP.  A report will be submitted soon to complete the promises including the establishment of Anti Corruption Organization Unit in 18 divisions, Kotwal Dhan Singh Gurjar State Modern Police Training Center in Meerut, Establishment of Anti-Terrorist Commando Centers in Deoband, Meerut, Rampur, Azamgarh, Kanpur, and Bahraich to curb terrorist activities, setting up of Cyber ​​Help Desk (CHD) in every police station.

 

UP Police to become hi-tech

 

According to the Home Department, all the units of the police will be made technologically sound. The police control room will be further strengthened with the use of technology. In order to provide better police facilities to the people, public utility services will be linked to the single window system. The Prosecution Department will be further strengthened so that the criminals can be prosecuted effectively and given maximum punishment at the earliest.

 

 

Women beat officers to visit villages once a week

 

To make women and daughters safe, strong, and self-reliant, Women Help Desks have been set up in all police stations under Mission Shakti Abhiyan on the instructions of the Chief Minister. Over 10,370 Women Beats have been formed in all police stations to provide legal aid to women. For the first time in the state, 20,740 women constables have been made beat police officers. On the instructions of CM Yogi, women beat officers will go to the villages once a week and make them aware. These women constables will also record an account of the problems being faced in the village on the beat book. Along with this, Mission Shakti Abhiyan will also be re-launched to bring awareness among women.
