Bajaj Foundation's "Dhyey" campaign heralds the progressive journey of Karmaveers on the path of "Golden India"

 

Mumbai, 26th August. Bajaj Foundation, under the Bajaj Industrial Group, in collaboration with its associate organization Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, organised a national level "Dhyey" campaign in Sikar city of Rajasthan and heralded the exciting progressive journey of Karmaveers from across the country on the glorious path of Golden India.

       In this four-day campaign organised by Bajaj Foundation and Vishwa Yuvak Kendra from 21st to 24th August, 2024 in Sikar city of Rajasthan, extensive training sessions and field visits were executed for representatives of more than one hundred NGOs from across the country.  The remarkable work ensured in the fields of agriculture, water, education and livelihood by the continuous efforts made by Jamnalal Kaniram Bajaj Trust since 1963 in Sikar, the birthplace of Shri Jamnalal Bajaj, founder of Bajaj Group, and its surrounding areas was well presented. On the first day of the campaign, the distinguished guests of the program included Ramniwas Paliwal, Joint Director, Agriculture Department, Government of Rajasthan, Hardev Singh Bajia, Deputy Director, Horticulture Department and Sarjan Singh, Assistant Director, Agriculture Department, along with Sundaram Verma, Padma Shri awardee for his method of growing plants on barren land of Rajasthan with one liter of water. Apart from them, Sarpanch Ramkaran Swami of nearby village Suliyavas, progressive woman entrepreneur Smt. Rajni Devi and natural farming farmer Omprakash Sharma were also present. The next day, Shri Jamnalal Bajaj's great grandson and Bajaj Foundation Trustee Apoorva Nayan Bajaj also joined this special campaign. In his presence, more than one hundred representatives from across the country closely observed the changes in the field of natural farming, rain water conservation, biogas and education in the nearby areas during the next two days. 



All these participating representatives were very happy to eat food at the shop of farmers practicing natural farming through Rural Mart. During a field visit under the campaign, the representatives were very surprised to visit the farm of Padmashree Sundaram Verma in Sikar, who planted saplings with just one liter of water, and his unique initiative of saving water and getting good results was highly appreciated by everyone. Addressing the representatives from across the country, Bajaj Group's CSR President Haribhai Mori discussed in detail about water resource development and other useful initiatives of the Foundation in this field.  After this, Uday Shankar Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, gave information about the background and objectives of the "Dhyey" campaign. In his special address, Apoorva Nayan Bajaj said that the main objective of our "Dhyey" campaign is to move forward taking everyone along to continue moving forward on the path of golden India. In this sequence, NGOs across the country are being made aware of these effective initiatives. He requested all the participants to go back to their states and inspire everyone else to adopt these useful and progressive interventions, so that our dream of making our India a golden and developed India can be realized.



Under the Bajaj Foundation's "Dhyey" campaign, held at Sikar in Rajasthan, Bajaj Foundation Trustee Apoorv Nayan Bajaj and various participants are seen at farmer Sawarmal Kumawat's farm. In the second picture, CSR President of Bajaj Group Haribhai Mori, Chief Executive Officer of Vishwa Yuvak Kendra Uday Shankar Singh and Program Manager of Sikar unit of Bajaj Foundation Ms. Rakhi Somkunwar are present on the stage and in the third phoro, a large number of representatives are seen from across the country, who participated in the Dhyey campaign.
