Bangladesh: Militant Islamists burnt a Hindu boy alive!

Unbearable, ruthless, and brutal! How can one do this? Dipu Chandra Das, a factory worker, was beaten to death by a mob in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh on charges of insulting Islam. No one knows whether Dipu, a Hindu young man insulted Islam at all, and even if he did, such atrocities in the name of religion remind us of the recent Jewish murder by a Muslim father and his son in Australia and the Hindu killings by Muslim doctors in Delhi. I do not want to bring up the killings of Pahelgam and terrorist Islamic activities around the world!
BBC Bangla warned the readers that they may be shocked while reading the report of the killing of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh while publishing its report on the subject, which was published on 18th December 2025. The report says, it has been told that a young man was beaten to death in Mymensingh on the charge of blasphemy. The body of the young man was tied to a tree and set on fire, police informed BBC Bangla. Duty Officer of Bhaluka Police Station Mr. Mia said that Dipu had insulted the Prophet. His body has been sent to the morgue. There was no lawsuit. If the relatives file a case, the police will act. In a BBC post on Facebook, many people with Muslim names wrote ‘Alhamdulillah' (means excellent job).
Videos of the incident have surfaced on social media. I watched the video and you can see the crowd dancing and chanting 'Allahu Akbar' while the body of the poor Dipu Chandra Das was burning. What would you say to those who can rejoice in such horrible scenes? A news portal called 'Hindu News' reported the same as BBC Bangla. It is being said on social media that Dipu Chandra Das was burnt to death after severe beating while he was still alive. The BBC and The Hindu News said he was burnt after the murder. The news has been ignored in the major media in Bangladesh. Hundreds of Hindu youths are languishing in jail on false allegations and the lives of many Hindu youths in Bangladesh are being made miserable under the pretext of insulting the Prophet and Islam.
Attacks on minorities, especially Hindus, looting of houses, rape, and arson on charges of blasphemy began in Ramu in 2012. There, 10,000 Muslims attacked Buddhist villages, destroyed everything, burnt houses and temples. The case was not prosecuted. Later, similar incidents were repeated in Satkhira, Rangpur, Nasir Nagar, Comilla and some other Hindu settlements. In most of the cases, there was no evidence of blasphemy against Islam, but the fates of Hindus were burnt. The government did not prosecute a single incident, but it provoked it, it is applicable to any government.
Bangladesh does not have a blasphemy law, but the government sues Hindus for blasphemy under the CSA or Cyber Security Act. Several people are already in jail in those cases, most of them are young Hindus. In Bangladesh, mostly Hindus are accused of insulting Islam, Hindus are punished, but Muslims are constantly insulting Hinduism, there is no justice? A few days ago, BNP leader Fazlur Rahman said in his election speech that "Hindus worship Satan" and that no case has been filed against him, and BNP rewarded him with the nomination for the forthcoming election.
Hindus are helpless in Bangladesh. They must live in fear all the time. None of the government, administration or political leaders are on their side, fundamentalist-militant groups are abducting their minor girls, forcibly converting, extortion, looting land and businesses, houses. There is no one to investigate it. World Human Rights organizations, UN are silent about continuous, unabetted minority persecution.
