Indian Insurance Regulator name has changed

The insurance law (Amendment) ordinance 2014 (8of 2014) was promulgated by Hon'ble President of India on 26 December 2014. Under the chapter IV of Ordinance the name of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has changed to Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.

It means now IRDA will known as IRDA of India. It will create unique identity of India Regulator in worldwide.
