Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji has given instructions to maintain complete vigil in the state in view of Covid infection. He said that all measures should be ensured to control the infection while keeping the system of prevention and treatment from Corona ready and strong.
The Chief Minister was on Tuesday reviewing the status of Covid-19 at a high-level meeting convened at his government residence in the state capital. He said that the Corona testing work should be conducted at full capacity. In suspicious cases related to Covid-19, RTPCR test should be done compulsorily.
Special attention should also be paid to focus testing, he stressed and added that under this, testing of Covid-19 should be done on a priority basis in institutions operated in groups like Girl Child Protection Homes, Old Age Homes, Orphanages, Residential Schools etc.
The Chief Minister directed officials to activate monitoring committees in rural and urban areas effectively added that monitoring committees should be set up in every village and ward. Organizations like Civil Defence, Yuvak Mangal Dal, Mahila Mangal Dal, etc. should be linked to the monitoring work, he said while directing officials that contact tracing should be carried out effectively and that more and more contacts of the Covid-positive person should be screened.
The Chief Minister also instructed that the dedicated Covid hospitals should operate at full capacity. He said that adequate availability of medical staff, essential medicines, medical equipment, and oxygen with back up should be ensured in these hospitals. Assessing the situation at the local level, the number of Covid hospitals may be increased as required, he pointed out.
Under this, in the first phase, government hospitals should be re-activated as dedicated Covid hospitals. He instructed officials to effectively run Integrated Command and Control Center established at the district level and said that people should be constantly made aware of ways to prevent Covid-19. The public address system should be widely used in this work and social distancing should be ensured in all public programs, he added.
Special attention should be paid to the mandatory use of masks, he instructed while also ordering the closure of all council and private schools from class 01 to 08 till Sunday 04 April 2021. He said that full compliance with Covid protocol should be ensured in other schools.
The Chief Minister instructed to further accelerate the Corona vaccination work. He said that the work of Covid vaccination should be conducted as per the guidelines and priority of the Government of India and added that government employees who are to be vaccinated should be allowed a day off on the date of vaccination and that similar arrangements for leave for private-sector workers should also be made.
The Chief Minister directed that audit of fire management in all medical institutions and government and private hospitals including medical colleges should be done on priority. He said that no laxity in this work at any stage will be tolerated.
