Three Bravehearts - Rani Avanti Bai, Rani Uda Devi and Rani Jhalkari 
Bai laid their lives in the freedom struggle, the state government had 
announced the formation of three woman battalions of the PAC after 
their names and today they are being commissioned 
Badaun's female PAC battalion named 'Veerangana Avanti Bai Mahila 
Battalion', Women's PAC Battalion of Lucknow named 'Veerangana 
Uda Devi Mahila Battalion' and women PAC Battalion of Gorakhpur 
renamed as 'Veerangana Jhalkari Bai Mahila Battalion'
Sacrifices of these brave veeranganas, inspire all of us 
to preserve the unity and integrity of the nation
Inspired by the veeranganas, the state government has launched 
'Mission Shakti' for the safety, security, honor of the women power
Sacrifice and valor of these braveheart women will continue to 
provide inspiration to every Indian to protect their motherland
State Government makes recruitment 
of 20% women compulsory in UP Police
For women safety help desks set up in 
1535 police stations, 350 tehsils in the state
A system has been established at every range level 
 for a reporting police station for counseling women

 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji on Saturday paid floral 
tributes at the statue of Veerangana Rani Avanti Bai on the occasion of her 
sacrifice day. Expressing his views in the program organized on the occasion, 
the Chief Minister said that three great brave hearts - Rani Avanti Bai, Rani 
Uda Devi and Rani Jhalkari Bai had sacrificed themselves in the freedom 
movement of the country. 
 In their name, the present state government had announced three 
women PAC battalions in the state, which are coming into force today. The 
women battalion of Badaun under it is named as 'Veerangana Avanti Bai 
Mahila Battalion', Lucknow women PAC Battalion is named as 'Veerangana 
Uda Devi Mahila Battalion' and Gorakhpur women PAC Battalion is named as 
'Veerangana Jhalkari Bai Mahila Battalion'. 

 The Chief Minister said that the sacrifice of these Veeranagans inspires 
us all to keep the integrity and unity of the country intact. Inspired by these 
sacrifices, the State Government has started a special program for protection, 
respect and independence of mother power as Mission Shakti. 
 The Chief Minister said that in during first freedom struggle of the 
country, Bundelkhand played an important role in the revolution which was 
lit in different places in the country to free this country from the slavery of the 
Firangi. Rani Laxmibai in Jhansi, Rani Avanti Bai in Ramgarh gave leadership 
to this entire freedom struggle and in 1857 she also attained victory. 
 When many kings of the country were accepting the English rule to save 
their power and state, then Rani Laxmibai and Rani Avanti Bai refused to 
accept the slavery of the British, and till the last breath, they fought for the 
pride of the motherland and the country. 
 The sacrifice of these Veeragana who inspire mother power will 
continue to provide inspiration to every Indian to protect the motherland, the 
Chief Minister stated. The Chief Minister said that the state government has 
made the recruitment of 20 percent of women compulsory in the Uttar 
Pradesh Police. 
 At the same time, it has also ensured that the dignity and respect of 
women are protected. Many programs are conducted for this, he informed 
while adding that women help desks have been set up in 1535 police stations, 
350 tehsils in the state for women safety. 
 A cyber cell has been set up at every divisional level for cybercrime￾related to women. At every range level, this arrangement has been made that 
a Reporting Outpost related to Counselling Center should be established for 
women. 
 Law Minister Mr. Brijesh Pathak, Jal Shakti Minister Dr. Mahendra 
Singh, Member of Legislative Council Mr. Swatantra Dev Singh, former Union 
Minister Ms. Uma Bharti and other public representatives were also present 
on the occasion.
