            Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji on Saturday laid the foundation stone of a total of 373 important tourist places and beautification of tourism development works costing Rs. 180 crore for various assembly constituencies of the state under the Mukhyamantri Paryatan Samvardhan Yojana in Gorakhpur district. 

On this occasion, he released a list of beautification and tourism development works of important tourist places under the Mukhyamantri Paryatan Samvardhan Yojana and the booklet of four years of work and achievements made by the State Government in the tourism department. On this occasion, the audio/video and song 'Aao UP Chalen' related to the Mukhyamantri Paryatan Samvardhan Yojana was displayed in front of the Chief Minister.

While congratulating the people of the state for completing four years of the State Government and entering the fifth year today, the Chief Minister said that today a total of 373 tourism development works costing Rs. 180 crore have been laid together. All these works should be completed in a quality and time-bound manner as per the standard.

The Chief Minister said that presently the state is constantly touching new heights of development. Uttar Pradesh is a state of immense potential and this region has the ability to stand in the prosperous states of the country. The State Government is continuously working with full commitment to include the state in the leading states of the country.

The CM also said that the development of tourist destinations was a major medium for generating employment. 24 crore tourists and devotees participated in Prayagraj Kumbh-2019. This led to a qualitative increase in the income of the commercial establishments and employment to a large number of people. The State Government is continuously working for the beautification and development of all the tourist places in the state, he informed.

Chief Minister said that in the year 1916, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi had come to Kashi. At that time, he reacted sharply by looking at the narrow streets there. Today, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has developed Kashi in a new category, there has been increased possibilities of employment along with tourism. A Tourism Facilitation Center (Tourism Facilitation Centre) has also been built there. Earlier the flowers offered were thrown in the temple, today they are collected and prepared by self-help groups.

The Chief Minister also explained how the year 2020 was consumed by the Corona epidemic. The State Government, along with the successful struggle against Corona, has also accelerated the development process, he added. In a global pandemic like Corona, the unprecedented skill was introduced in organizing the Deepotsava in Ayodhya to ensure the safety of the people in the state as well as to promote domestic tourism. 

After Kashi, Ayodhya is now seen making its place on the global map of tourism. He said that beautification and tourism development works are being done at all important tourist places of the state. A Research Centre will be established at Sant Kabir in Maghar. He said that the positive thinking of the State Government has connected every section of society with employment.

The Chief Minister said that there are vast possibilities of eco-tourism in the state. Many tourist places are also being developed in Gorakhpur. Tourist centres are being connected with good connectivity. Air travel services will start soon from Kushinagar International Airport. Airports are being constructed at Chitrakoot, Sonbhadra, Azamgarh, Shravasti, Meerut, Moradabad districts. Stressing on giving priority to cleanliness, he said that cleanliness has special importance in life. Hygiene itself has controlled diseases like encephalitis.

Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, Culture and Religious Affairs In his address, Uttar Pradesh said that today day by day new areas are being set in all areas and are achieving new heights of development and progress. Uttar Pradesh is developing as Uttam Pradesh. 

A large number of entrepreneurs are setting up their own enterprises in the state. MP Shri Ravi Kishan, Shri Kamlesh Paswan, Shri Jai Prakash Nishad, Gorakhpur Mayor Shri Sitaram Jaiswal, MLA Dr. Radha Mohan Das Agarwal and other public representatives and senior officials were present on the occasion.
