As promised in the Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra, the Yogi government is going to start a series of arrangements to provide jobs and employment to the unemployed.
Under the 100-day agenda of the government of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has set an ambitious target to fulfill as many as 20,000 vacant posts in government departments and create self-employment opportunities for over 50,000 people in the state.
Prioritizing to fulfill the resolutions of his government taken towards the people, Yogi has instructed all the departments to prepare the complete details of the vacant posts in their department and place them before him. So that people can be given jobs. He has also set a target of providing 5 crore employment opportunities in UP in the next 5 years. The chief minister will keep a constant watch to achieve this goal.
It is noteworthy that over 2.5 crore people have got employment opportunities directly and indirectly through the schemes like MSME, ODOP among others in the last five years. The next target set by Yogi Adityanath is to double the number so that maximum people become economically empowered.
Instructions have also been given to open startups at the district and divisional levels so that youth can get employment.
The CM has made it clear to the officials that the entire selection process should be done in the fairest and most transparent way as was done in the last five years. He was all praised by the authorities for setting up high norms of transparency and fairness in the recruitment process.
In its first term, the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh fulfilled its resolve by giving 5 lakh government jobs in the last five years. Yogi's mission employment did not slow down even during the Covid 19 pandemic. The process of recruitment was completed in a fair transparent manner, merit being the sole criterion for recruitment.
