My Reflections – Current Issues
Both internal and international issues have been making waves in the Indian media – Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam 2023 (Women’ Reservation Bill)l; and Canada-India Diplomatic Spat.
The Parliament – Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha - passed Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam 2023 (Women’ Reservation Bill) with overwhelming majority.
Of course, the voting reflects consensus. However, the opposition parties have vociferously raised the following demands:
· Immediate implementation in the forthcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections;
· 33% quota means 136 seats. Existing quota reserved for Scheduled Castes is 84 seats and 47 for Scheduled Tribes – Total 131 seats. Hence, the reservation for SC and ST women should not be from the existing quota. It should be out of the 33% reserved for them.
· Quota within 33% reservation quota for OBC women.
· RJD demanded the Bill to be sent to the Select Committee.
· First the Census by 2026 followed by Delimitation Committee to notify constituencies afresh unlikely to be completed by 2029. Hence, this bill is a JUMLA by the BJP to gain electoral advantage in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
Yet, all the opposition parties voted in favor of the Bill in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha except for the AiMIM in the Lok Sabha.
The TMC (Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal) claimed that they have already implemented 33% reservation provision in the Parliament and State Assembly and surpassed over 50% in the Panchayat Raj structures. So also, some other parties laid similar claims in the Panchayat Raj institutions.
Political leaders are congenital hypocrites. They claim or pretend to be the champions of their demands but have failed to enact the Women’s Reservation Bill in the past 75-years.
They fail to realize that they can fool some people for some time, but not all the time. “We the People” are no more gullible in the current milieu.
In retrospect, my question to all political parties including the BJP is simple. Surely, all of them can at least sponsor 33% of OBC Women candidates in the forthcoming assembly elections. What to talk of Lok Sabha elections. The example of West Bengal is available for others to emulate. No need to wait for 2024 or 2029!
By doing so, political parties can demonstrate to “We the People” the genuineness of their convictions and commitment – assert political will. The “Hypocrites” will get exposed.
Declare CANADA as State Sponsor of Terrorism
India must demand the Western Bloc countries to declare CANADA as “Terrorism Sponsor State”. The least that the Western Bloc countries may like to do is to place CANADA on the FATF Grey List.
Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of CANADA, must stop making claims of "Credible Evidence/Credible reasons” of India’s involvement in killing a Canadian Citizen, who is a Khalistani Separatist leader, on its soil.
Justin Trudeau invoking high sounding phrases like “Rules Based Order”, “freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, and freedom of peaceful protest” and Rule of Law must remember that he is only confirming breeding terrorists and gangsters on the CANADIAN turf.
Enough or plenty of evidence is available in public domain about Justin Trudeau failure to counter the Sikh Khalistani terrorist activities openly and terrorist financing. Surely, the Indian Government has given enough ‘fool proof’ evidence of active Khalistani terrorist’ support to its cells in Punjab/India from its soil aided and abetted by the ISI of Pakistan.
For example, the World Sikh Organization (WSO), Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) are allegedly operating freely from Canadian soil at the behest of Pakistan. Also in the public domain is the information that at least nine separatist organisations supporting terror groups have bases in Canada and despite multiple deportation requests by India. No action against those involved in heinous crimes, including the killing of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has been taken by CANADA.
Justin Trudeau has turned a “Blind Eye” to India’s MEA request for deportation of 8 individuals involved in terror activities and as many gangsters, who have been conspiring with Pakistan's ISI operating from safe havens in Canada.
Can Justin Trudeau deny the Khalistani Separatists aiding and abetting the violent protests during the Farmers Protests from Canadian soil. By his silence, Justin Trudeau must remember that he too is responsible for interference in the domestic affairs of India.
For Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party which is a minority , it may be a domestic political compulsion to allow Khalistani separatists to operate from its soil to gain the support of Canada's New Democratic Party (NDP) leader Jagmeet Singh, to remain in power.
But, how can Justin Trudeau claiming to believe in “Rule Based Order”, freedom of conscience and freedom of peaceful protests” allow the Sikh Separatist gangs to desecrate Hindu Temples and vandalize Indian diplomatic missions? Come along Justin Trudeau, give another fake or fraud allegation against India.
Justin Trudeau must realize that he is feeding snakes in his backyard. A day may also come when the Sikh groups may demand a “Separate Khalistan State” CANADA. After all, there are many places where 80 percent of the inhabitants are Sikhs.
As of the 2021 Census, there are nearly 800,000 Sikhs, who account for 2.1% of Canada's population. It is the fastest-growing and fourth-largest religious group. The largest Sikh populations are found in Ontario, followed by British Columbia and Alberta. More than half of Canada's Sikhs can be found in cities: Vancouver CMA - 222,165 (8.52%);Abbotsford– Mission CMA - 41,665 (21.69%); Surrey - 154,415 (27.5%), Calgary - 49,465, and Edmonton - 41,385 Brampton - 163,260; Abbotsford - Fraser Valley - 25.46%; Metro Vancouver -17.93%; Cawston -16.36%; Okanagan-Similkameen - 15.87%; Okanagan-Similkameenmeen -14.34% among others.
None can rule out the possibility of Chinese, who wield significant political clout in Canada, involvement to destabilize India in collaboration with Pakistan, the ISI and the Khalistani Separatists.
Most importantly, despite leaked intelligence reports about Chinese interference in Canada's last two federal elections in 2019 and 2021, Justin Trudeau has refused to hold a public probe into the matter. Key figures in the Liberal Party have long historical ties to the CCP.
Justin Trudeau, during his first election campaign in 2016, visited the homes of "wealthy Chinese-Canadians for private fundraising events. Some of the hosts had close connections with the CCP and had been actively promoting Beijing's takeover of islands in the South China Sea."
Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party is "permitting China to colonize Canada." Chinese money laundering inflated Canadian property values for decades and helped push home ownership out of reach for today's buyers. On drug addiction: China is the main source country of fentanyl found in Canada, paving the way for thousands of overdose deaths. On the economy: China has targeted a host of Canadian industries for control, from lobsters to lithium."
Viewed in the consolidation of Chinese and Khalistani Separatists political clout and influence, it goes without saying that the USA, UK and other Western Bloc countries need to be extremely cautious in dealing with Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party.
And, India must aggressively carry forward diplomatic offensive against the happenings in CANADA in the name of “FREEDOMS” to be branded as a Sponsor State of Terrorism" and classify it as Grey State in the FATF.
