Council schools becoming hi-tech, digital, and well-equipped under Yogi government

Greater Noida, March 19: The Yogi government is bringing revolutionary changes in the field of education. As part of this transformation, Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh inaugurated a newly constructed, hi-tech, and modern primary school building in Mathurapur, Dadri, Greater Noida, on Tuesday.

He stated that to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a 'Developed India,' an unprecedented transformation of council schools is taking place under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He expressed confidence that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India is advancing towards becoming a global leader.

Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh emphasized that if India aims to become a developed nation, schools must be equipped with modern and advanced facilities, as the future of the country is shaped within these institutions.

Criticizing previous governments, he said that a few years ago, imagining such schools was impossible. “Earlier, schools were in poor condition—there were no blackboards for teaching, no proper seating for students, and roofs leaked during rains. However, today, every school in the state is equipped with essential facilities.”

He highlighted that through ‘Operation Kayakalp’, the government is transforming Uttar Pradesh’s schools. “More than 1.57 crore students across 1.3 lakh council schools are receiving modern education. The transformation covers 19 parameters, and 97% of the targets have already been achieved.”

Praising the newly constructed school building, Sandeep Singh said that the school is at par with convent and public schools in every aspect. He emphasized that the Yogi government is not just modernizing school infrastructure but also providing high-level facilities to teachers, enabling them to perform their duties more effectively. According to him, council school teachers are more qualified and skilled than those in private schools.

The Basic Education Minister announced that the Yogi government is setting up ‘CM Model Schools’ in 57 districts. Each of these schools is being developed with a budget of ₹30 crore, featuring state-of-the-art facilities. These schools will be fully digital, with smart classrooms, providing students with high-quality education.

Highlighting the increasing accessibility of smartphones, tablets, and other gadgets, Sandeep Singh stated that the Uttar Pradesh government is also distributing tablets and smart devices to students, ensuring they connect with modern educational methods. However, he also cautioned against excessive gadget use, stating that the government is promoting sports, moral education, and other activities to ensure the holistic development of children.

One of the key highlights of this hi-tech school is that each classroom has been named after a great personality. The classrooms have been named Vashishta Hall, Vishwamitra Hall, Dronacharya Hall, and Valmiki Hall.

Furthermore, no trees were cut down during the school's construction, and over 100 trees have been preserved within the school premises. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards, benches, and storage units, with special attention given to lighting and ventilation.

This school has also become the first primary school in Uttar Pradesh to feature a 40 KLD (kiloliter per day) water harvesting system. This initiative not only connects students with their cultural and historical heritage but also serves as a source of inspiration.

The classrooms in this school are completely digital, featuring smart boards, benches, storage units, and proper lighting and ventilation to ensure a superior learning experience for students.

Sandeep Singh stated that under CM Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the government is bringing revolutionary changes in education. The primary goal is to ensure every child has access to modern education, with no compromise on their future due to lack of resources.

He reaffirmed the Yogi government's commitment to providing convent and public school-level education to children from poor and middle-class families by transforming council schools into hi-tech, digital, and well-equipped institutions.
