President Droupadi Murmu formally launched the state-level inauguration of the annual theme by presenting a divine Kalash symbolising unity and trust to the Brahma Kumari sisters and lighting the lamp. As the President began her address with “Om Shanti” at the ceremony held at Gulzar Upvan Rajyoga Training Centre, Sultanpur Road, the entire campus echoed with applause. In her ten-minute address, she spoke about the mind, spirituality, Indian culture, values, and the policies of the Government.
Speaking on the theme “Meditation (Yoga) for World Unity and Trust,” President Murmu said that every human being wants to trust others, but trust thrives only where the mind is calm, thoughts are healthy, and emotions are pure. “When we pause for a moment and engage in self-dialogue, we realise that peace and happiness do not lie in external objects but within us. When spiritual consciousness awakens, love, brotherhood, compassion and unity become a natural part of life. A calm and stable mind becomes the seed of peace in society and lays the foundation of world peace and global unity. A powerful soul becomes the cornerstone in realising the vision of world unity. Let us awaken peace within, instil trust in our thoughts, manifest unity in our actions, and together play a meaningful role in building a better and peaceful world.”
---
This step will become a catalyst in creating a beautiful world
President Murmu lauded Brahma Kumaris, saying their efforts toward world peace, human values, women empowerment, inner awakening, education, and meditation are truly inspiring and commendable. “I extend heartfelt appreciation and greetings to all Brahma Kumar brothers and sisters for their dedicated service. The organisation has set up educational centres in thousands of villages, where brothers and sisters are serving society as carriers of peace, happiness, love and trust. I believe today’s initiative will further strengthen the previous efforts and act as a catalyst in creating a beautiful world.”
---
India has always given the message of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’
President Murmu said that India’s ancient civilisation and culture have always conveyed the message of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”—the whole world is one family.” At a time when the world is facing multiple challenges, this idea has become even more relevant. “I am confident that this initiative will make a significant contribution in addressing the global crisis. I extend my best wishes to the entire Brahma Kumaris family for the successful launch of this campaign.”
---
Appreciated the policies and initiatives of the Government of India
President Murmu said that the Government of India is taking important steps to build an inclusive, peaceful, and value-based society. Promoting Yoga and meditation globally and the International Day of Yoga are steps in this direction. The National Education Policy’s emphasis on value-based education strengthens life. Mission LiFE is a major national campaign promoting an environmentally conscious lifestyle. Various government programmes for women’s dignity, self-reliance and social inclusion are also contributing to nation-building. “The theme of India’s G-20 Summit in 2023—One Earth, One Family, One Future—gives a powerful message that the future of humanity lies in human values, dialogue, trust and spiritual consciousness.”
---
We must also begin the journey of inner growth
The President said that with science and technology, humanity has reached unprecedented heights. This is an era of information, technology, AI, digital transformation, and space research. “Human life has become more convenient and resource-rich. However, along with technological advancement, stress, insecurity, distrust, and loneliness have also increased. It is essential that we not only progress outwardly but also begin the journey inward. The Brahma Kumaris are taking significant steps in this direction.”
---
Self-transformation is the first step towards world transformation
Governor Anandiben Patel said that the Brahma Kumaris organisation is contributing immensely to nation-building through various dimensions. “This global organisation is led by the power of women. Rajyoga meditation leads a person towards virtue. Through Rajyoga, qualities like peace, purity and happiness naturally emerge. Meditation teaches us that the soul is eternal and imperishable. Rajyoga is not merely a practice but a complete positive lifestyle. It awakens human consciousness and unites society. Today it has become essential for everyone. Self-transformation is the first step towards world transformation.”

CM Yogi: The root of terrorism and unrest lies in the restless tendencies of the mind
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the life of the President has been inspiring—from being a teacher and public servant to reaching the Rashtrapati Bhavan. “The cause of bondage and liberation lies in one’s mind. All terrorism and unrest in the world stem from the restless tendencies of the mind. While a positive mind leads to constructive tendencies, a negative mind leads to destructive tendencies. The Brahma Kumari leaders are creating a positive environment through Rajyoga. I am confident that this centre will become a model for Rajyoga training for the entire Uttar Pradesh.”
---
We will spread the message of unity and trust
Director of Gulzar Upvan Rajyoga Training Centre, Rajyogini BK Radha Didi, said that the land of Uttar Pradesh is sacred, where Shri Krishna performed his divine acts in Mathura and Shri Ram lived his life in Ayodhya. “The objective of this campaign is to remind everyone that we are all children of one Supreme Father, and hence brothers and sisters. We must rise above caste and religion to live with unity and brotherhood. Programmes will be organised in villages and cities across the state to spread the message of world unity and mutual trust.”
National Coordinator of the Legal Wing, BK Nathmal, said that unless we conquer our inner weaknesses, unity and trust cannot emerge. The programme was conducted by Rajyogini BK Manorama from Prayagraj.

Those present at the event included—
Joint Chief Administrator Rajyogini BK Santosh Didi; Additional Secretary General Rajyogi BK Dr. Mruthyunjaya; Director of Gyan Sarovar, Mount Abu, Rajyogini BK Prabha Didi; Chairperson of Engineers Wing Rajyogi BK Mohan Singhal; Rajyogi BK Surya; PRO BK Komal; over 400 business leaders, more than 100 doctors, over 300 administrative officials, and more than 3,000 participants associated with the Brahma Kumaris.
