President Murmu to Launch the Theme ‘Raja Yoga Meditation for World Unity and Trust’
Gulzar Upvan: A Unique Centre of Meditation and Rajyoga
Lucknow, 22 November (Special Correspondent):
The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, will visit Lucknow on 28 November on a one-day tour. Her first stop will be Gulzar Upvan, the Brahma Kumaris campus located on Sultanpur Road. From 12 noon to 1 pm, she will inaugurate the programme based on the theme “Raja Yoga (Meditation) for World Unity and Trust.”
The event will also be graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel; the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath; Joint Chief Administrator of Brahma Kumaris, Rajyogini BK Santosh Didi; Additional Secretary General BK Dr. Mritunjay; and Director of Gulzar Upvan Training Centre, BK Radha Didi, along with several senior officials from the organisation’s international headquarters at Mount Abu.
BK Radha Didi, in charge of Gulzar Upvan Training Centre, informed that centre-in-charges from Brahma Kumaris branches across all districts of Uttar Pradesh, as well as participants from Karnataka and several other states, will take part in the programme. Preparations for the President’s visit are in full swing. Hundreds of members of the organisation are working round the clock to give final shape to the arrangements, including painting, cleaning, and inviting guests.
About Gulzar Upvan Training Centre:
Spread over approximately three acres, Gulzar Upvan provides residential facilities for around 200 people. It is the only retreat centre of its kind in Uttar Pradesh. State-level campaigns and training programmes will be conducted from here. The campus includes a meditation centre and seminar hall where workshops for different groups will be organised.
State-level Campaigns to be Launched:
The Brahma Kumaris organisation has signed MoUs with the Government of India for initiatives including de-addiction, organic compound farming, water conservation, senior citizen welfare, and the enhancement of soldiers’ well-being. Campaigns under these themes will be carried out with the cooperation of the respective government departments, along with state-level training programmes.
Meditation Centre to Be the Key Attraction:
A state-of-the-art auditorium is being constructed at Gulzar Upvan, where visitors will be guided to experience meditation and Rajyoga.
