Bajaj Group Appoints Senior Journalist Golesh Swami as Advisor

Swami will drive Group’s communication and brand management agenda in Uttar

Bajaj Group (Kushagra) has appointed senior journalist Mr. Golesh Swami as an advisor
in its group communication team. In his new role, Mr. Swami will assist the
team in strengthening its communication efforts and bolstering the brand’s presence
and positioning in Uttar Pradesh, his home state.
Mr. Swami is well known across both
print and broadcast media circuits in UP and is widely considered an authority
on the state’s affairs. His deep knowledge and insights about the state range
from the grassroots to the upper echelons of state bureaucracy and political
establishment.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Neeraj
Jha, Group President & Chief Communication Officer, Bajaj Group, said, “As

Mr. Swami will lead Bajaj Group’s
media & communication, brand-building, and advocacy efforts in UP and
report to Mr. Jha in Mumbai. Operating from the Group’s Sugar Business HQ in
Lucknow, he’ll work closely with the leadership teams of both Sugar and Energy
businesses and lend them the necessary support and counsel in the
aforementioned areas.

Mr. Swami (‘Swami Ji’ to friends
and colleagues) has been a career journalist for nearly 40 years during which
he has worked with all the prominent newspapers and publications in the state
of UP including the likes of Hindustan, Amar Ujala, Daink Jagran, and Dainik Aaj. Straddling a variety of roles across the editorial
hierarchy, he specialized in covering politics, state assembly, bureaucracy,
and all manners of high-offices and government institutions. A columnist and TV
commentator Mr. Swami remains a sought-after voice on a variety of important
subjects relating to UP.
